About the Artwork
‘Hatch’ ‘is the first in the ‘Rebirth’ series, exploring the concepts of rest, healing and rebirth.
Hatch reflects the fragile relationship between self-love and acceptance, and the need to withdraw in order to protect our energy.
Like newborn animals so easily we fall prey to the needs and wants of others.
To withdraw within, to spend time caring only for ourselves is considered a selfish act, but in reality this level of rest is needed in order to nourish our souls and our relationship with ourselves.
By allowing this level of kindness for ourselves we are able to remember who we truly are, and grow into a new and more authentic version of ourselves.
